Clay at Signet is an amazing partner to work with. He is calm, candid, funny and very knowledgeable about structuring loans (from a timing, rate and tax perspective) and understands the current market. Clay responds to emails promptly and returns calls timely (which is important when you have 30 days to close). We’ve worked with the big banks previously and prefer working with Clay and his team. With the bigger banks we felt like they were reading off a script and using a checklist plus the underwriting process always took a long time (so long they usually had to ask us for updated documents a few times). With Clay, he’s very personable, creative and gets the job done. Besides being a mortgage broker, we think Clay is a part time magician! We had a unique loan situation and Clay was able to execute timely all while making us laugh.
